Personal Mentorship

Someone to help turn learning goals into everyday habits.

A personal mentor helps students plan, stay consistent and ask for support. Alongside subject teachers, the mentor keeps sight of the whole learning journey.

Guidance between the lessons

A practical study plan

Break broad goals into manageable priorities that fit school, lessons, rest and family time.

Regular reflection

Discuss what went well, where the student feels stuck and what to try next.

Better follow-through

Build routines for practice, revision and preparation without making the week feel overwhelming.

The mentor’s role

Listen to the student, help set achievable priorities, review teacher feedback and coordinate useful updates with parents.

Mentorship focuses on learning habits and academic organisation. It does not replace subject teaching or professional mental health care.

A typical check-in

  1. Reflect on the previous week.
  2. Identify one or two learning priorities.
  3. Plan practice and revision.
  4. Agree the next action and review point.

Frequency and format are agreed as part of your learning plan.

Would mentorship help?

It can be worth discussing when a student understands lessons but struggles with planning, consistency, managing multiple subjects or knowing when to ask for help.
